Short Film Project
“Café Affo-gatto!” is a 35-second short film I directed for my Collaborative Experiences in Animation class. I led a team of 10+ artists through the production of the short film with a timeline of 10 weeks. I was responsible for the initial film concept, storyboards, and some visual development and animation.
Thumbnails and initial concepts
At the start, we cycled through a lot of ideas. The core of the idea was the gag of revealing a “biscuit-making” cat in the kitchen of a bakery. As more ideas developed, we decided that a menagerie of cats would be much funnier.

I wanted to work out the style of the backgrounds and detail to the crew what I had in mind for the final scene/gag of the film.
